As of 31 December 2018, installed wind power capacity in France stood at 15,108 MW, after 1,558 MW of new capacity was connected to the grid. Of this total, 1,024 MW was connected to the RTE network and 14,084 MW to the grids of A distribution system operator in France, Local Distribution Companies. These are, along with Enedis, the operators of the distribution system, intermediaries between the transmission grid and final customers. There are approximately 150 LDCs across France and EDF-SEI for Corsica. Installed capacity rose 11.2% over the year, and the 15,000 MW target set out for 2018 in the Multiannual Energy Programme was exceeded.
